“Such things as dreams are made on…

PROSPERO: Our revels now are ended. These our actors,

As I foretold you, were all spirits and

Are melted into air, into thin air:

And, like the baseless fabric of this vision,

The cloud-capp’d towers, the gorgeous palaces,

The solemn temples, the great Globe itself,

Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve

And, like this insubstantial pageant faded,

Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff

As dreams are made on, and our little life

Is rounded with a sleep.

-The Tempest, Act 4, Scene 1

For many years, our special summer treat was going to see Shakespeare at the beautiful Bruns Amphitheater. What could be better then great theater, delicious food, and abundant drink enjoyed in the beautiful Siesta Valley under California stars? We brought friends and family members when they were visiting. We celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, and the achievements of our event production company. We brought our daughters as soon as they were old enough. It was perfect except for one thing - as concert producers we spent the first 15 minutes of every show dreaming about how amazing it would be to produce a concert in this magical space because we love live music as much as we love Shakespeare.

Then 2020 hit and our world stopped. Everything canceled. We tucked ourselves into our little home and waited. At the end of last summer we emailed Cal Shakes - everything was changing, maybe they would be open to a little bit of music in their lineup. Amazingly, we heard back and Paper Moon Presents was formed. We spent the winter plotting and planning and building our team so we would be ready when the world was ready to open up again. So here we are — ready to dance, ready to see our friends, and so ready to gather again at this magical little spot in the hills.
